RAPTURE

"Rapture was my first shorter board, at 6'2" she isn't tiny but a great starter for my home waves in North Wales, I asked Ben for a learner style short board and that is what I got. Rapture is buoyant so she catches waves easily but also manoeuvres well when caught. Amongst these useful traits of the board there is one more, with the right weight I have been able to learn to duck dive the board, though I am not the lightest for my size. Rapture has been a fantastic and quick stepping stone, I know if I had just gone for a shorter board and less buoyant one I would not have been able to progress so quickly, Rapture has allowed me to go out in all types of waves and works well in all of them which in North Wales is the only way to progress!"

OUTLINE
The wide point is forward of centre which is similar to the traditional fish outline: Rapture is a more stable platform compared to other boards of equivalent lengths.
RESPONSIVE
Paddling and changing direction is easy on Rapture. Both are important; when learning to read the sea the surfer benefits by being able to respond sooner. The shortness of the outline is crucial to go from paddling out to sea, noticing a wave, turning quickly and then beginning to paddle compared to large foam and longboards.

LEARNING TO TURN
Once standing up and going straight is possible, it's not long before turning to go along the wave is the goal. The two wide points at the back of the board and quad fins create pivot points to turn Rapture easily and intuitively. The fastest fin setup is the quad, these four fins will naturally give the board speed and keep the surfer ahead of the bouncy white water and onto the smooth clear water.
